It was around two months ago when Dell announced the Nickelodeon edition of the Inspiron mini.

This netbook is obviously targeted at kids and will feature various Nickelodeon themes including green slime and spongebob.  The biggest competitor would be the team of Asus and Disney with their Disney Netpal also targeted at kids.

Pretty average netbook features on the Dell Mini Nickelodeon:

  • Intel Atom N270 / N280 CPU
  • 10.1-inch LCD
  • 1024×600 resolution
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 160GB hard drive

The Dell Mini Nickelodeon is now available on the Dell website and starts at $329.  Should be a real hit with kids who make up a significant part of the market these days.

Dell’s new netbook the 11Z is not available everywhere but is now available on the Dell France website according to Gadget Mix.

There are 3 variations of the 11Z with different specs that are available.  All of them use the CULV Processor, which combines power and battery saving all in the processor.

1.  CULV 743 celeron procession and Intel GS45 chipset, 2GB RAM and 160GB HDD

2.  CULV SU4100 processor, 250GB HDD

3.  CULV SU4100, 4GB RAM and 320GB HDD

The Dell 11V is going to be a very powerful Netbook options.  With loads of storage, fast processing, and a lot of memory, this netbook from Dell should be a winner.

Moblin is an operating system that was created by Intel and Novell to create the Atom-Moblin Linux.

On the 24th of September, the Dell Mini 10v was released with the Moblin OS and made an appearance at Intel Developers Forum (IDF).  At the moment the OS is not really for average consumers but it is available to give it a shot.
