Sony’s new Vaio X will be extremely thin and extremely light. It will run Windows 7 for netbooks and besides its sexy looks, the Sony Vaio X, “packs a punch and is full of essential features.”
Here are some of the main specs of the Sony Vaio X:
There will be 2 models, the VPC-X11S1E/B,
- 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor
- 128GB SSD
- 11.6″ screen size
- 1366×768 resolution
- 1.6 pounds
and the VPC-X11Z1E/X,
- 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z550 processor
- 256GB SSD
- 11.6″ screen size
- 1366×768 resolution
Both netbook models are expected to run for eight hours on battery but an upgrade is able to support a whopping 16 hours of batter life. Wireless 3G is optional on the netbook.
Sounds like the Sony Vaio X is going to be an incredibly stylish and powerful netbook option. Just beware of the hefty price tag which is expected to be about $1300.
