Netbook options have usually been outfitted with Intel Atom N270 processor chips or an example like the Sony Vaio X with an Intel Atom Z540.  Other netbooks have full size CPU’s like the Acer 1810T with an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300.

Intel Atom has been working on their newest sets of Atom processors that have been rumored to be available soon for netbook options.

The benefits from previous Atom chips are that they will require much less physical space in a netbook than older versions, saving space to create more compact netbooks.  This can be good for portability as well as migrationology.

The Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz could be launched on the 3rd of January.  It will sell at $64 which is $20 more than older versions.

The Intel Atom N470 1.86GHz will also be released as part of the chipset and probably in March 2010 according to Fudzilla.  The N470 1.86GHz will cost $75.

Let’s see in the future how these new and updated versions of Intel Atoms processors will improve our netbook options.

Moblin is an operating system that was created by Intel and Novell to create the Atom-Moblin Linux.

On the 24th of September, the Dell Mini 10v was released with the Moblin OS and made an appearance at Intel Developers Forum (IDF).  At the moment the OS is not really for average consumers but it is available to give it a shot.
